A-LINE CUT: Is the skirt of a dress that has the shape of the letter A. This cut futures a fitted top and flares out to the hemline.
HALTER CUT NECKLINE: Very popular know for its flattering cut, usually bares the shoulders and may occasionally dip low enough to reveal a hint of cleavage. This cut is ideal for women who needs to keep the human eye on the top part of her body and hide the lower part of her body such as flaws in thighs or hips. ASYMMETRICAL CUT NECKLINE: A cut where one side is different from the other. BOAT NECKLINE: A high, wide often rounded but can be straight as well, neckline running from shoulder to shoulder. Commonly has the same front and back cut. BALL GOWN: A very full skirt that ia gathered at the waist. Usually they are very puffy. WRAP SKIRT: A skirt that wraps around the body DRAPED SKIRT: A skirt in which the fabric is draped at the shape of a skirt, fitted by gathering HIGH-LOW SKIRT: A skirt that is short in the front and long on the back MERMAID SKIRT: A long skirt that is fitted past the hips and flares out into the shape ot a trumpet DIRNDL SKIRT: A skirt that is gathered at the waist and very full CIRCLE SKIRT: A skirt that is cut in circular shape with no pleating at the waistline TIERS/ LAYERS: A skirt with overlapping fabrics cut in various shapes PICK-UP: A skirt pattern that is formed by tacking a point in the fabric to a higher point forming a bubble shape TRAIN: A skirt that is much longer in the back and trails behind the hemline BUBBLE HEMLINE: A skirt in which the lining is shorter than the fabric, the fabric is sewn to the lining so the fabrics edge doesn't show. HIGH COVERED BACK: This cut covers most of the back, usually the shoulders PLUNGING NECKLINE: A deep neckline cut down to or pass the bust line, usually with the form of the letters V or U. This is a cut known for revealing a bit or a lot of cleavage. OFF THE SHOULDER NECKLINE: A usually round neckline cut in which the straps are fitted across the shoulders. In this cut the shoulder are uncovered. MID CUT BACK: This cut shows the back to just below the shoulder blades LOW CUT BACK: This cut shows the back to the waist VERY LOW CUT BACK: This cut shows the back lower than the waistline LACE-UP BACK: A back that has ties like shoe-laces or corset SHEER BACK: A see through sheer material that provides translucent coverage STRAPPY BACK: Open back with multiple straps as a design details SCOOP CUT NECKLINE: A neckline cut that looks like a scoop as it has a round shape and is cut below the collar bone. SWEETHEART CUT NECKLINE: A neckline that imitates the shape of a heart. It can be strapless or it can have straps ONE SHOULDER CUT NECKLINE: A cut where one strap goes over one shoulder and the second shoulder is uncovered, off-the shoulder, strapless.
